Let me start this with a disclaimer, I usually write things that are based on scriptural references, but while there are scriptures I can and will give there is no bible verse that speaks directly on this issue.

I was watching "Law&Order" last night and a quote was given that just hit deep.  I couldn't get it off my mind and so I wrote out my thoughts to ya'll.  The quote was this:  "That's why there winning...cause there working together, and we're not."  Now, of course in the show they were talking about criminals, but my mind kept putting it in context of the world and church.

In recent years it has seemed that more and more people are being drawn away to other religions, or even to atheism.  Try as we might we Christians can't make any headway.  So what is it we are doing wrong?  Are we planning the wrong events, are  we speaking on the wrong stuff?  For my part I think it is exactly what this quote says. Try as I might I can't find any other religion or non-religion that is as divided as Christianity.  Even if you see disagreeing parts they still meet with each other and discuss important things, and win people over together.

Now look at us, Catholic, Prespeterian, Baptists, Pentecostal, Lutherans, and more.  All of us with differing views.  What is it we disagree on though?  For the most part it isn't the fundamentals on which we disagree.  Its things like pre, post, or mid tribulation rapture, baptize or sprinkle, wine or grape juice!  Don't get me wrong...these are important and need be discussed but that's what it should be...a discussion not a knock-down drag-out winner takes all argument that keeps us from working together.

So how do we fix it?  How do we start working together?  well the best solution would be to drop all this denomination crap and be Christians, (not Baptists, Catholics, exct...) but that is nearly impossible at this point.  So now on to plan B, lets start by working together, drop all the pre-assurances we need, stop holding back to ask things like, whose side will we show, or what church is going to get the new members.  Just let the speaker give HIS point of view (that the spirit leads him to) and trust that those listening will go and find out from the scriptures themselves what they believe on the subject.

Work Together......Or Give Up

Finally keep in mind.
We already win in the end.
But we will give an account
And when that day comes.
I want us all to stand and say.
We worked together to get the news.
To as many as we Could
