I’m a music performance major at the University of West Florida who grew up in the church and loves Jesus Christ. I love the arts, primarily the performing arts. First of all I love to sing. It’s my way of worshiping and praising God. Music also speaks to people in a way that words never could. It’s my way of speaking my heart. Secondly I love acting it’s my way of stepping out of my usually crazy life and enjoying myself. It’s also my way of being what I want to be. I also love the visual arts. I'm not much of a drawer but sometimes I will create a rare masterpiece (it is to me n e ways) but I love photography it’s not only fun but creative eye popping. The way I express my emotions is often times through poetry...it’s my sensitive side, my personal side, that's why I love it.

When it comes to God I'm completely and totally sold out (at least I try to be) I seek to give him my all. Above all I love sharing it with other people, rarely ever am I afraid to stand up for God. I believe that we were called to preach the gospel whenever and wherever we are, whether it is with our actions or with our words in a church or on a bus whatever ever the cost. In Acts 1:8 and throughout the Bible Gods calls us to go into the world and preach the Word. So I guess above all, my biggest passion is Jesus and sharing him with others. Do I miss some? Sure, we all do. But that doesn’t stop me from pushing myself harder the next time. So I guess it’s no surprise that I’m called to be a missionary.

I'm also very giving. I have a heart for other people; I enjoy listening to others problems, I’ve always felt called to encourage others and allow them to lean on me. Am I perfect at doing it all the time? NO. But I try to give to everyone what I can. Reliant K sings in one of their songs “and I’ll give until there’s nothing left yeah I’ll give my life until it all runs out…” that’s pretty much my motto in life. Does it run out sometimes? A LOT actually, but I let God fill me back up and give me the strength to do another day.

My favorite verses are

  James 1:2-4
2.consider it pure joy my brothers whenever you face trials of many
3.kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance
4.perseverance must finish its work so that you might be mature and complete not lacking anything

   Acts 1:7
it is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the father has placed in his own hands

those 2 verses have gotten me through so much and encouraged me to press on knowing that God will take care of me and it’s all in his plan and it is in order to make me stronger and better ;-)
And one more thing embrace the total dork in yourself and enjoy it because life is too short to be cool! ;-)
